Here is the third and final love interest for Celestial Crowns👑:

King "I have no filter" Aalam Rift Karim.

Aalam is the elusive King of Andromeda. His father and his father's father were both assassinated while out of the castle, and so he has refrained from showing his face outside of the Kingdom walls—or so people believe. No one in Laute knows what he looks like, or even what he is like.

The rumors say he is a tyrant who uses his mystical powers to keep frightened subjects in line.

Aalam believes the best way forward is to unite Laute and Andromeda in marriage, and if Terra is not interested in agreeing, he has no problem uniting their kingdoms the hard way: war. Andromeda needs the resources Laute's territory can provide, and he won't take no for an answer.

He is a skilled Spellcrafter, one of the last in the land, and his affinity is ice.

Will Terra buckle under his threats and agree to marry him? Or will they refuse to leave their throne and confront him in war instead? Can she uncover who this tyrant king really is?

Fun fact--the white in his beard and hair is not because he's going gray, but rather because he's a "Royal." In this universe, people with Royal blood are literally a different species. One way this manifests is some crazy hair colors, noticeably streaks of white. You'll see in Terra's sprite it shows up mostly in their bangs. The more you know!

PS. You'll notice on the Itch page he's introduced as Rift. This is because when you first meet him in game, he is pretending to be the Ambassador of Andromeda rather than the King, to keep himself safe on the journey.

All that is known about him is that he is a skilled Spellcrafter, one of the last Royals carrying on the mystical tradition.

Progress Update

Writing

I am in the process of writing the last scene of chapter 1! The game is currently 20K words. The demo is planned to have 3 chapters.

So far, there are 22 choices. I've been putting at least 1 choice in each scene, because I really want this to be a roleplaying experience where you get to make most if not all the decisions for what your character says and does. I also want to make the game enjoyable on multiple playthroughs to give a fresh experience each time.

It's a short update, but I've really been buckling down and focusing on the writing. If you'll remember, I was supposed to have chapter 1 done by 10/7, so I'm way ahead of schedule! I'm already in phase 2. I'll be posting an updated schedule soon, but right now the plan is to try and finish half of chapter 2 by my 10/7 deadline.
